In Budokan, Tokyo, June 25, 1976,
Wrestler of Japan Antonio Inoki took on Muhammad Ali.
There were some special rules set in place before the matchup. For
one, the wrestler coulnd not lift the boxer, or slammed to the mat.
According to news sources, the match was not what it could or should have
been when their were so many safeguards set in place. The bout ended in a
15-round draw. The match aired live on closed-circuit TV and had
32,000 spectators to Shea Stadium in New York.
