Sugar Ray Leonard Promotions and ESPN2 card, at the Sandia Casino,

(AUG 16) Last night in in Austin, TX,
Anissa "The Assassin" Zamarron won a unanimous decision over
Stephanie "All Action" Dobbs in a six-round junior flyweight bout.
Zamarron looked sharp and dominated the very game Dobbs from the opening
bell. All three judges scored the bout 60-54. In the mainliner, Jesus
"El Matador" Chavez won the WBC super featherweight championship,
defeating Sirimongkol Singmanassak by unanimous decision. The judges scored
the bout 117-111, 117-111, and 118-110, all for Chavez. Chavez, who lost a
previous WBC title bid to Floyd Mayweather, Jr., won his second title
attempt in front of a raucous, near sell-out crowd in his adopted hometown
of Austin, Texas.

Court Date Postponed in the Tyson-King Civil
Lawsuit...
(AUG 14) According to news source, the bankruptcy that Iron Mike Tyson
recently filed has delayed his civil lawsuit against Don King. They were to
go to court on September 22, but it has now been delayed until April of next
year. It was agreed by the both Tyson and King to move the court date,
as the bankruptcy should be completed by the later date.

Sirimongkol Singmanassak and #1 Contender Jesus Chavez met, for the first
time, yesterday at a press conference at The Hard Rock Cafe in Austin, TX.
