Upcoming Event in Rochester!
(MAY 15) On Saturday, June 14, 2003 at 7:00pm, Seattle's Tim Shocks returns to the Lucky Eagle Casino for the first time since 1999 to face Fight Night 40 winner, Alejandro Jimenez in the 10 round Main Event. Shocks lost to Julio Garcia in June of 1999, and will have a tough test against Jimenez, who KO'd Ruben Munoz in the April main event. Shocks comes in with 23 wins, including 14 KO's. Alejandro, from Guadalajara, Mexico has 13 wins, six by KO.  There are seven bouts scheduled on this card.

Rocchigiani seeking to reclaim WBC money
(APR 23)  Former world champion boxer Graciano "Rocky" Rocchigiani aims to secure over US$30 million in damages from the World Boxing Council despite the boxing organization's filing for bankruptcy last week. Rocchiagiani thought he had become light-heavyweight champion in March 1998 when he beat Michael Nunn in what appeared to be a title fight after American Roy Jones seemed to have relinquished the title. Hallen arena of Copenhagen, Denmark, on last Friday April 11th the WBA INTERNATIONAL - E.B.A. Featherweight Champion SPEND ABAZI (DEN) headlined the Team Palle event defending his Title against unbeaten Algerian origin Frenchman SAMIR LAALA (FRA) (13-0-0). Spend Abazi after a tremendous 7 rounds, where he dominated the scorecards, made his opponent go to the canvas for a first knockdown, after which challenger Laala could not recover and the Referee Mr. Erkki Meronen from Finland had to stop the Championship at 1:52 min. of the 8th round.
