(FEB 28) BILLINGS- It’s sure to be a knockout
when “The Slugfest Professional Boxing Series” rolls into town. Some of the
hottest boxers from right here in the northwest step into the ring to do
battle Saturday April24, 2004 at the Shrine Auditorium. Doors open at
7:00pm. “The Slugfest Professional Boxing Series” is promoted by KO Sports
Promotions Inc and Lyon Sports Group Inc. The Slugfest begins at 8:00PM.
Scheduled on this actioned packed card are five bouts including a 12-round
championship bout featuring Spokane Heavyweight sensation Chancy “The
Hillyard Hammer” Weliver. At 20 years of age “The Hillyard Hammer” has
already established himself as a threat in the heavyweight division. And has
compiled an amazing record of 16-1 with 8 knockouts, Chancy’s only lost was
later revenged. His opponent is TBA.
The co-main event show cases Lupe “Little Guns” Gutierrez, he will be
fighting for the Canadian American Mexican (C.A.M) JR. Welterweight title.
Gutierrez is a former U.S.B.A Featherweight Champion and has fought for two
world titles. Lupe’s record is 27 wins 7 losses with 22 big KO’s. His
opponent is TBA
Plus Brock “The Bremerton Butcher” Stodden with a record of 14 wins and 7
KO’s will be battling it out for the Canadian American Mexican (C.A.M) Super
Middleweight title. His opponent is TBA
Plus former Canadian Heavyweight Champion Shane “Kid Thunder” Sutcliffe also
on the card local Light Heavyweight Chad Newbreast making his pro debut
This is the first time “The Slugfest Professional Boxing Series” has been
held in Montana, It is sure to be a memorable evening!
