this wild bout by 3rd round TKO. Jackson hit the canvas
in the first round and then again twice in the 3rd.

vs. Nicole Beard, San Francisco, CA, Record now 1-3. Mikee dominated

Fight #3:
Welterweights Luis Perez, Salinas, CA, Record now 3-0, 2 KO’s vs. Eddie
Estrella, Moreno Valley, CA, Record now 3-7. Perez, winner of his
first two fights by first round knockouts, was the aggressor from the
opening bell. Luis immediately made it an inside fight as he pounded away
at the body. Estrella felt comfortable counter-punching with wild overhand
rights, some of which found a home on the head of Perez, but did no
damage. In the third round Estrella complained of a head-butt to no avail
and then tried to knee Perez in the groin. The referee immediately stepped
in and disqualified Estrella. One of Perez’ handlers jumped into the
ring and charged Estrella but no punches were exchanged and order was
restored immediately.
Fight #4:
Heavyweight Bout, Carter
Williams, Modesto, CA, Record now 2-0, 1 KO, vs. James "Mighty"
Monroe, Los Angeles, CA, Record now 3-3. Monroe did very little in
losing a four round decision to Williams, an accomplished kickboxer. James
had his moments in round four but it was too little too late as Monroe
drops to 3-3. Williams, a solid 247 lbs, remains undefeated at 2-0.
Fight #5:
Super Flyweights Ricardo Junez, Napa, CA, Record now 1-0, 1 KO, vs.
Enn Fairtex, San Francisco, CA, Record now 1-2. Junez, making his
pro debut, was an accomplished amateur boxer who was the 1999 National PAL
champion. Fairtex, a former 2-time kickboxing world champion and making
his third appearance as a boxer, did not fair so well again Junez. Both
fighters sustained cuts over their eyes in the first round from an
accidental clash of heads. Junez stepped up the action in the second round
with an attack to the body and then the head. In the third round Ricardo
catches Enn with a right uppercut that staggers Fairtex back into the
ropes. Junez jumps on Fairtex with a heavy attack and Fairtex crumbles to
the ring floor. The referee begins to count but no count is needed.

Fight #6:
Featherweights Felipe Campa, Oxnard,
CA, Record now 10-4-1 vs. Freddy "The Rabbit" Castro, Los
Angeles, CA, Record now 4-7. This one was all Campa, who was better
skilled and in better shape than Castro. Campa utilized an effective jab
and combinations in every round to gain a workmanlike six round unanimous
decision victory over the unusually tame "Rabbit." No knockdowns
in this bout. Campa now 10-4-1 while Castro goes to 4-7.
Fight #7:
Jr. Welterweights Ernie
Zavala, Burbank, CA, Record now 15-2 vs. Justo Almazan, Mexico.
Almazan, a last minute substitute who drove up from Mexico for this fight,
was clearly not in the same class as Zavala, who dominated the action.
Zavala established his body shots early and impressed the crowd with the
power in which he threw them. It was a matter of time before Almazan would
wear down. To Almazan’s credit he hung in there but was outgunned and
outclassed by Zavala, who picks up a fifth round TKO. Zavala, a fighter to
watch, improves to 15-2.
