Many things have been written about "The Greatest" Muhammad Ali, but not much about the many men who stood across the ring from him during his legendary run.  Well, that has changed.  Author Stephen Brunt's new book, Facing Ali brings to life 15 of his opponents stories.  Stories that this author truly researched, allowed his subjects to be heard in their own words, and finally, allowed Ali fans to find out new information on him through the eyes of fighter's.

This 302 page book published by The Lyons Press is a MUST READ for Ali fans, but more importantly fans of boxing that want a portal into how one man could change the life's of 15 men. Ali's boxing career was larger than life, but his legend touched more than just his fans.  The fighters in this book were touched in the ring and out by Ali.  Fighters such as Joe Frazier, Ken Norton, Larry Holmes, Joe Bugner, Earnie Shavers, Ron Lyle, and Chuck Wepner just to name a few.

The book is now available through all of the online retailers such as Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.com.

Once you have read it, I would enjoy hearing your thoughts of the book which you can email me.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Stephen Brunt is Canada's premier sportswriter and commentator.  He is the lead columnist for Toronto's Globe & Mail and won the Michener Award for his piece on negligence and corruption in boxing. He was nominated for Canada's National Newspaper award for his account of meeting with Ali.

As always fight fans, keep reaching for the stars, and all your dreams can be fulfilled.
