(DEC 31) Filipino fighter Roilo "The Phoenix" Golez (13-7-0, 5
KO's), who is a former contender of the WBC silver flyweight crown, and
current ABC (Asian Boxing Council) champion, will be the rival of Edgar
Sosa (43-7-0, 26 Ko´s), next January 7 at the Polanco Forum of Mexico
city, for the WBC flyweight international title.
This great battle will be broadcast on "Televisa Deportes" for all of
Mexico on channel 5.
Golez knows how to win away from his homeland. Last July, he went to
Thailand to deliver a TKO in 10 rounds to Thongthailek Sor Tanapiny to
capture the ABC crown which supports the WBC and that still holds.
