Galvan and Mobley set to come
out of retirement for their former boss and Findley makes long
awaited return
October 26, 2009
(Merrillville, In) - Some of the biggest
and most familiar names from the world of boxing are set to make their
highly anticipated returns to an One In A Million Boxing, Inc. fight
card which has been dubbed "A Fight To Remember: A Tribute To Octavius
James."
Derrick "Superman" Findley enters the ropes, following his Showtime
showdown with Andre Dirrell back in March, against proven and rugged
Roberto Florentino. While both Ruben "Modern Day Warrior" Galvan and
"Marvelous" Shay Mobley lace the gloves up for their longtime friend and
boss Octavius James, the man who managed their professional careers and
impacted their personal lives, for the first time since retiring
respectively.
Former Indiana Boxing Association lightweight champion Galvan had an
incredible career under the tutelage of James. The now 37 year-old looks
to show that he still has all the skills that made him a main event
staple against Leroy "Rootin' Tootin" Newton; Galvan and Newton battled
six rounds for a draw in 2007.
Mobley will also be stepping out of retirement at the age of 32
years-old to honor James, this marks the marvelous ones first fight
since November of 2008 as he squares off against the always sensational
Cedric Johnson. Johnson was last seen on an O.I.A.M. card against "Iron"
Orphius Waite and the pair put on a card stealing six-round war.
"With the likes of Mobley, Galvan and Findley being added to a card that
already has Ed Ochoa and Jimmy Holmes, it's going to be an incredible
night to say the least," said President/C.E.O. of One In A Million
Boxing, Inc. Tyree Ortiz.
"Everyone is excited about the opportunity to fight on this night to
honor the man who put this whole company where it is today," Ortiz
added. "It is truly an honor for all involved to put this together and
those in attendance will fall back in love One In A Million Boxing."
