(AUG 25) On Saturday, August
22nd, at the Toyota Center, in Houston, Texas, on HBO Boxing After Dark,
There were three bouts that were televised. The results are as follows:
Juan Diaz vs Paulie Malignaggi (Diaz won), for the vacant NABO Junior
welterweight title; Malcolm Klassen vs Robert Guerrero (Guerrero won),
for the IBF Junior Lightweight Title. Guerrero, of Gilroy, California
won by a 12-round unanimous decision, with final scores of 111-117,
113-116, 112-116. and Daniel Jacobs vs Ishe Smith, for the Vacant NABO
Middleweight Title. Jacobs from Brooklyn, New York, defeated Smith from
Las Vegas, Nevada, by a ten-round unanimous decision for the NABO
Middleweight Title. The judges scores were 96-93, 96-93, and 100-89.
