Edgar Sosa meets Mexico

(JUNE 24) MÉXICO, D.F., (CPN Sports)--
Edgar Sosa, lightweight flyweight WBC World Champion meet on Monday with
the Major of Mexico City, Marcelo Ebrard, in the main government palace
Sosa arrived along with José Sulaimán, WBC President; Promoter Fausto
Daniel Garcia and the lightweight international champions Reyes Sanchez
and Daniel Estrada.
The reunion was to thank Marcelo Ebrard for the support he gave to make
this last bout "pair of Ases" in the cathedral of Mexican boxing: Arena
Mexico. where Sosa made his ninth defense. defeating Carlos Melo by TKO
in the fifth round.
Edgar gave him the gloves and said: I thank God, al the people
implicated in the show and Mr. Ebrard, because the Mexico City
government has shown his support to boxing, a very noble sport and we
hope it continues that way...I feel a little nervous, because it is not
the same that being in the ring" champion said
Marcelo Ebrard said "We are very interested to promote sport to get more
healthy people, so it is part of the social health...the spot of boxing
has a lot of influence in our culture.
Taking the gloves he continued: "I admire the great effort behind this
glove, because there is a lot of work on it, and of course we will
continue supporting the sport of boxing" he finished.
Meanwhile promoter Fausto Daniel Garcia said thank for the support to
the capital authorities and talk about the big professionalism of the
light flyweight world monarch.
