(APR 16) The Boy 1 and Boy & Girl 2 semi
finals were decided after a marathon session of bouts at the National
Stadium yesterday. Jack Connolly and Michael McConighey posted the
biggest wins of the day, while Riverstown ace Sean O'Shea and Poleglass
young gun Conor Burns both racked up ten point winning margins.
Likewise, Tiernan Bradley of the Omagh Boys club wasn't too far behind
when it came to putting points on the board.
And Brendan Irvine was also in impressive form in his Boy 2 semi final
with Martin Lawrence, while Tamilee Diver won the only female bout of
the afternoon session.
Cork was the big winner at today's semi finals after eight out of ten
boxers from the Rebel County progressed to the weekends finals.
