Arrives in Tucson

TUCSON, ARIZONA, April 10 - If it's a
fight night at Desert Diamond Casino in Tucson, Arizona, you can almost
guarantee that David "The Destroyer" Lopez (37-12, 25 KOs) will be on
hand to thrill his legion of loyal fans. Today, Friday, April 10th,
Lopez will fight at his home away from home for the 12th time when he
takes on veteran Ossie Duran (23-6-2, 9 KOs) in the main event of ESPN's
"Friday Night Fights". Making a special appearance to take in the action
at this big night of boxing in Tucson will be none other than the Golden
Boy himself, Oscar de la Hoya.
Also featured will be highly touted junior welterweight prospect Hector
Sanchez (17-0, 8 KOs), will take on the stiffest test of his young
career when he squares off against former World Champion DeMarcus "Chop
Chop" Corley (33-10-1, 19 KOs) in an eight-round bout.
Opening up the telecast will be Philadelphia native Karl Dargan (3-0, 1
KO) taking on Rudy Valdez (2-3, 1 KO) of Nampa, Idaho in a four round
junior welterweight match.
Lopez vs. Duran, a 10-round junior middleweight bout that headlines a
hard-hitting night of world-class boxing, is presented by Golden Boy
Promotions and sponsored by Cerveza Tecate and Quaker State. The ESPN's
"Friday Night Fights" telecast begins at 10:30pm ET / 7:30pm PT. Doors
open at 6:00pm with the first fight beginning at 7:00pm.

Four of boxing's top young fighters will take to the ring at the Desert
Diamond Casino as well in undercard action on April 10th. In an eight
round welterweight clash, 2004 United States Olympian Rock Allen (14-0,
7 KOs) battles tough Texan Adan Hernandez (14-6, 5 KOs). A six round
lightweight bout between Houston up and comer Hylon Williams (8-0, 3
KOs) against Fort Worth's rugged veteran Derrick Moon (12-26-1, 3 KOs)
will also be featured. Rounding out this stellar card is a heavyweight
bout between Tucson's own Eric Woods (5-0, 4 KOs) and Long Beach,
