(NOV 29) In this week’s local news in
Australia, the Perthnow has reported that female boxer McGowan, is not
only going to court for one case of an alleged assault, but she has an
additional court case for assault in another incident.
The Perthnow reported the following: “The 27-year-old boxer is alleged
to have punched a 33-year-old woman several times in the face after the
pair became involved in an argument on Oxford St, Leederville, about
3.30am on March 6, 2005. She has been charged with assault occasionally
bodily harm. Police have also charged Ms McGowan over another alleged
assault.”
Erin’s attorney (according to this article), told the Perth Magistrates
Court on November 28th, that the second charge should be tried
separately.
Erin’s first trial date will take place in February 2009.
