Highly touted Chicago boxing prospects
Tavoris Cloud, Francisco Rodriguez and Victor Polyakov put on outstanding
performances at the last 8 Count Productions event, DECEMBER FURY on
December 14th at Cicero Stadium.
Cloud, currently the best light heavyweight prospect in boxing, ran his
record to 17-0 with 16 knockouts by stopping Jake Rodriguez, who refused to
come out for the third round. Cloud stunned the crafty veteran from
Philadelphia over the two rounds displaying his full arsenal of punches to
the head and body which had the crowd on their feet roaring with approval.
Fast rising bantamweight prospect Francisco “EL NINO AZTECA” Rodriguez
improved his record to 11-1 (7KO’s) with a dominant performance over Robert
DaLuz, taking an eight round unanimous decision by scores of 80-71 (twice)
and 78-73. The always improving Rodriguez, displaying an array of skills
including terrific counter punching and defense, won his fourth in a row in
front of the packed house crowd at Cicero Stadium.
Rounding out the list of 8 Count fighters, middleweight Victor “THE UKRANIAN
TIGER” Polyakov started off the evening with a brutal first round stoppage
over Brad Hill to raise his record to 7-0 with six knockouts. The heavy
handed 2004 Ukranian Olympian, now based in Chicago, continues to make a
name as a middleweight prospect to watch.
Said Dominic Pesoli, President of 8 Count Productions, “Tavoris, Francisco
and Victor put on outstanding performances last month and we’re thrilled to
share these bouts with boxing fans across the globe through YouTube. We
firmly believe that all three prospects have very bright futures and look
