Peter Quillin: Brooklyn
“Chocolate” packs more dynamite than Minnesota “TNT”

(DEC 14) On December 13, 2007, at the
Roseland Ballroom, Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin faced Troy “TNT” Lowry for
a scheduled 8 rounds Middleweight bout, posted as “Special Attraction.”
Lowry spent a substantial amount of time slipping and holding, trying to
keep from fighting off the floor in the first round, trying to get his
bearings, while a quick and stinging Quillin kept control of the fight. The
only thing “special” about the match was a “Kid Chocolate” especially hard
right that put Lowry onto the mat at the opening of the second round, ending
the bout.
That’s pretty much it. However, some lucky New Yorkers did get the
satisfaction of receiving the traditional variety of treats after the TKO
and the (16-0) Quillin chocolate-toss.
