Napunyi
win UBC title on Kenya!

(AUG 19) Last night at the Charter Hall in Nairobi, Kenya, Kenyan boxer
Anthony Napunyi captured the vacant UBC World super bantamweight title
with a 12-round unanimous decision over Tanzanian challenger Alan Kamote
in the main event of the boxing card that was organized by Pro-Boxing
Promotions. Judges scores were 119-113, 116-113, and 118-115.
On the undercard, welterweight Pascal Bruno won a six-round unanimous
decision over John
Muriuri with cards 59-57, 59-57 and 59-57.
In the heavyweight division, Raymond Ochieng KO"d Robert Ochieng in
third round.
In the battle of the lightweights, Sanwel Kamau
made it a short night when he KO'd Hakim Waibale in the first round.
In a female bout, super featherweight Eunice
Achieng won a four-round unanimous close decision over Rukia
Nasarite with cards 39-37, 40-39 and 40-39. |
