DAVID DIAZ TO BE SPECIAL GUEST AT CHICAGO FIRE GAME THIS SATURDAY NIGHT

(JULY 5) WBC Lightweight Champion David Diaz will take a break from training to be the special guest of MLS' Chicago Fire this Saturday night, July 7th.

Diaz will meet fans at the pre-game Fire Fest and be presented with a Chicago Fire jersey just prior to kickoff of the Chicago Fire/Toronto FC match at Toyota Park, 7500 S. Harlem. Fire Fest, located inside Gate B, opens at 6pm with kickoff scheduled for 7:30pm.

Diaz is preparing for his showdown at “WAR FOR 4!” with three division world champion Erik Morales on August 4th at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL, just outside of Chicago.

The “WAR FOR 4!” world championship extravaganza is promoted by Bob Arum’s Top Rank Inc., in association with Chicago’s Dominic Pesoli’s 8 Count Productions and broadcast live on pay per view.

Tickets for the fight, priced at $300, $200, $100, $50 and $30 are on sale now through Ticketmaster at their website www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 312-559-1212.

The pay-per-view broadcast will also feature the Chicago debut of undefeated welterweight contender Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr., son of the legendary three-division world champion and Mexican icon Julio Cesar Chavez as he takes on Indianapolis’ “Downtown” Louis Brown in a ten round bout.

Other fights on the pay per view include an IBF light flyweight world championship between Champion Ulises Solis of Guadalajara, Mexico and Rodel Mayol of Mandaue, Philipines as well as WBO Latino Super Bantamweight Champion Juan Manuel Lopez of Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico in a twelve round bout.

The Morales vs. Diaz pay-per-view telecast, beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, has a suggested retail price of $44.95, will be distributed by HBO Pay-Per-View and will be available to more than 61 million pay-per-view homes.
