Lange to Host Diego Corrales Benefit Event July 26

ARLINGTON, VA --- World Boxing Council Continental Americas 154-pound Champion Jimmy Lange announced today that he will host a benefit event for the family of recently deceased former world champion boxer Diego Corrales on Thursday, July 26 at the DoubleTree Hotel Crystal City (300 Army Navy Drive, Arlington, VA). The evening, a joint promotion between Jimmy Lange Enterprises and Ice Promotions, will feature professional boxing, live musical entertainment and a three-course meal.

Less than 500 tickets are available for this intimate evening that begins at 6pm with a cocktail hour and doors opening at 7:00 pm. Tickets for table seats (includes dinner) cost $350, $250 or $175, while a limited number of $75 tickets (admission only) are also available. To purchase tickets, call (703) 536-6060.

“Diego Corrales was a blood and guts warrior who I had a great deal of respect for,” said Lange who met and sparred with “Chico” several years ago while both trained in Vero Beach, FL and ironically also served as a sparring partner to Joel Casamayor for one of the Corrales-Casamayor epic battles. “He was one of the few current boxers who, win or lose, always left everything out there at the end of the day. I look forward to honoring him as we help raise funds for his family.”

New York-based entertainers, Emil Stucchio & The Classics, best known for popular hits such as "Till Then," "P.S. I Love You" and "You'll Never Know," will perform prior to start of the fight card. The event will feature up to four pro bouts on the card, consisting of top boxers from the Maryland, D.C., and Virginia region.
