BOXER,
FAGAN RALLIES AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
(MAR 27) Ireland's lightweight boxing
champion, Oisin Fagan, who is also the Oklahoma State title holder and
works as a schoolteacher at Columbus Elementary in Oklahoma City, has
been asked to speak at a rally opposing Domestic Violence, on Sunday,
April 1st.
Fagan said, "This is a crucially important issue that I am 100% behind.
I teach at an inner-cty school, where there are many reports of domestic
violence and I want to portray a strong opposition to such cowardly
behavior. For me, this is the real war on terror."
The event, presented by the "Take Back The Night" group, takes place at
the State Capitol Complex, OKC and the rally begins at 3pm. The march
itself, will kick off at 6pm. There is a massive attendence expected in
what promises to be a fun event for a very serious cause and the
entertainment will include musicians, stand-up comedians and special
guest speakers from all corners of Oklahoma and beyond. |
