  JEFFREY RESTO MAKES CHICAGO DEBUT ON FRIDAY, MARCH 16TH

(MAR 9) Welterweight prospect Jeffrey Resto will take on Roberto Valenzuela in a special attraction bout at MARCH MAYHEM on March 16th at Cicero Stadium, it was announced today by Dominic Pesoli, President of 8 Count Productions.

MARCH MAYHEM, another evening of world class professional boxing is presented by 8 Count Productions, HOME OF THE BEST IN CHICAGO BOXING along with TCF Bank and Miller Lite.

Resto, from the Bronx, New York, sports a record of 19-2 with thirteen knockouts, his most recent win being a tenth round knockout of Michael Warrick at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on April 28, 2005. He also holds wins over Emmanuel Clottey and former world champion Livingstone Bramble.

Mexican native Valenzuela brings a record of 38-29-2 (34KO’s) into the scheduled six rounder. His fifteen year career includes battles with Jose Luis Castillo, Demetrius Hopkins, Ben Tackie, Michael Stewart and Henry Crawford.

Said Pesoli, “Resto’s has been off for a while, but I’ve seen him fight a few times, he’s got terrific skills and is very popular in New York City. I’m very happy to bring him to Chicago and I think our fans will really enjoy seeing him.”

Mike Nevitt vs. Shawn Hammack, eight rounds, light heavyweights

Juan Carlos Martinez vs. Kenny Humphrey, eight rounds, super featherweights

Jeffrey Resto vs. Roberto Valenzuela, six rounds, welterweights

Luciano Perez vs. Ramiro Rivera, six rounds, welterweights

Leo Martinez vs. Reggie Sanders, six rounds, lightweights
