(FEB 27) IRELAND'S Ken Egan, Scotland's Fundo Mhura and the England duo
of Frankie Gavin and Stephen Smith are the only boxers from Ireland and

light heavyweight category while Mhura is at eleventh in the
middleweight section, and lightweight Gavin and featherweight Smith are

number one spot at flyweight, middleweight and light heavyweight.
Overall Russia have eighteen boxers ranked in the top fifteen in a wide
variety of weight categories.
However, Cuba have five boxers in pole position in the super
heavyweight, welterweight, featherweight, lightweight, and bantamweight
sections and have twenty nine boxers making the top fifteen across all
weight sections.
Cubas and Russia's dominance of the rankings see both countries command
forty seven positions from one hundred and sixty five places from light
flyweight to super heavyweight.
The Ukraine (heavyweight) Thailand (light welterweight) and China (light
flyweight) occupy the other number one spots.
The United States have five boxers making the rankings but with just one
boxer inside the top five.
Meanwhile, Egan is still at number four in the European rankings as
published by the influential website ABA Boxing.

Donovan (featherweight) John Joe Joyce (lightweight) and Roy Sheahan
(welterweight) are in 20th,13th,19th, and 19th positions.

on the ABA site while Allana Murphy of the Eastside club in Belfast has
