(FEB 9) Colombian superflyweight champion, Luis ¨Surtigas¨ Melendez
(26-1-1, 20 KOs) will face mexican Cecilio Santos (21-7-2, 7 KOs)
for WBO 115Lb Latin title on Feb. 24 in Miami, Fl.
Melendez, a southpaw, will debut in north american rings. In his last
fight he kayoed in third round to Alejandro Martinez in a bantamweight
bout in Barranquilla, Colombia. Santos in his last fight won a 12-round
decision over puerto rican Omar ¨Armadillo¨ Adorno in Miami.
Challenger Melendez is trained by Martin Valdez and managed by Oswaldo
Martinez and Felix ¨Tutico¨ Zabala Jr. |
