Olympian Raul Marquez is the latest addition to the elite stable of
boxers promoted by Seminole Warriors Boxing Promotions Inc., it was
announced today.“Raul Marquez is a true warrior and one of boxing's most
exciting fighters, and we are excited to be part of his team as he

Born in Reynosa, Mexico, Raul Marquez (38-3, 27 KOs) now makes his home
in Houston, Texas, where he has been the city's fistic hero for over a
decade. A member of the 1992 US Olympic team, “El Diamante” duplicated
his amateur success in the pros as he won the IBF junior middleweight
title with a ninth round TKO of Anthony Stephens in 1997. He would
defend the title twice before losing it to Yory Boy Campas later that
year, but since then he has compiled a record of 10-2 with 1 no contest,
with the only losses coming to Jermain Taylor and Fernando Vargas. 3-0
with three knockouts in 2006, Marquez – who has also garnered rave
reviews as a color commentator for HBO Latino and NBC – is ready for big
things in 2007.
