Paniagua Presents Boxeo Caliente New Year Celebration Exclusively on Fox

WIRE)--December 28, 2006--Boxing fans can get their New Year's
celebrations off to an early start this Friday night, December 29th by
watching "Boxeo Caliente" on Fox Sports En Espanol at 11pm ET / 8pm PT.
The New Year's Special features undefeated WBO junior lightweight champ
Joan Guzman (27-0) defending his title in the Dominican Republic against
rugged American and No. 5 contender, Antoine "T-Rex" Davis.
Fight fans will be amazed at the ring artistry of the Dominican national
hero. Guzman is being mentioned as a likely opponent for Manny Pacquaio,
Marco Antonio Barerra and Juan Manuel Marquez during 2007.
Those watching in North America, South America (except Brazil), Central
America and the Caribbean will also two other bouts featuring great
prospects making their pro ring debuts. One is 18-year-old Argenis "La
Tormenta" Mendez, a devastating puncher who has already caused experts
to compare him to a young Tommy Hearns. The other is Jose Amaro Guzman,
champ Guzman's younger brother.
But there is more to this two-hour special program than boxing. Viewers
will also see and hear from boxing legend Oscar de la Hoya but will also
see interviews with major league baseball stars Miguel Tejada, Robinson
Cano and Vladimir Guerrero.
Music lovers will enjoy performances by Sony BMG recording artists Toby
Love, Chelo, Alex El Bizcochito and N'Klabe.
