Cloud vs. Lafontsee added to Cicero Chill

CHICAGO (November 1, 2006) Undefeated light heavyweight prospect Tavoris Cloud will face Douglas LaFontsee next Friday night, November 10th, at CICERO CHILL, the next huge card of world class professional boxing at Cicero Stadium, it was announced today by Dominic Pesoli, President of 8 Count Productions.

The eight bout CICERO CHILL card, broadcast internationally on SOLO BOXEO De Miller, is presented by Dominic Pesoli’s 8 Count Productions, HOME OF THE BEST IN CHICAGO BOXING and Oscar De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions, along with Miller Lite and TCF Bank.

Cicero Stadium is located at 1909 S. Laramie, just minutes from the Eisenhower and Stevenson Expressways. Doors for this event will open at 5:30pm with the first bell at 6:30pm. Tickets, starting at $30, are on sale in advance by calling 312-226-5800.

Cloud, 12-0 with eleven early stoppages has quickly become one of boxing’s hottest

light heavyweight prospects. In his last bout on September 15th, Cloud stunned the packed house at the Aragon Ballroom with a devastating fourth round knockout of veteran Tim Shocks.

Said Pesoli, “The fans in Chicago have really taken to Tavoris. He’s a very skilled kid who can close the show quickly. We’re thrilled to have him back at CICERO CHILL. Lafontsee is a heavy handed kid and should provide a tough test for Tavoris.”

Lafontsee, from Wyoming, Michigan, sports a record of 7-1 with five knockouts. In his last bout, Lafontsee won a unanimous decision over Jeffrey Osbourne Jr. on July
15th in Comstock Park, Michigan.

Said trainer Al Bonanni, “Tavoris is in great shape, he’s had very good sparring for this fight and we’re looking forward to coming to Chicago to put on another great show.”
