FIGHTERS READY TO "RUMBLE" FOR CHAMPIONSHIP JACKPOT AT HORSESHOE

(SEPT 6) HAMMOND, IN.- Horseshoe Casino Hammond, one of the nation’s premiere gaming companies, will throw open its doors to Octavius James/One In A Million Inc., in association with Mayor Thomas McDermott, Jr., and the City of Hammond for the “Civic Center Rumble” press conference at 12:00 noon on Sat. Sept. 9th in Ballrooms B and C located in the Pavilion. Open to the media and general public.

The “Rumble” will pack the Hammond Civic Center days later, on Sept. 23rd, for a special Saturday night at the legendary entertainment venue. The card will feature a much-anticipated brawl featuring NABC Light Heavyweight Champion Jeff “Boom Boom” Baker (14-2, 7 KO’s), of Indianapolis, vs. LaPorte, Indiana’s own Nick Cook (14-1-1, 8 KO’s) for the NABC Light Heavyweight Title.

Both Main Event fighters will face each other for the first time at the Horseshoe press conference, while Light Welterweight warriors Ruben “The Modern Day Warrior” Galvan (26-9-2, 9 KO’s), of Hammond, and Jaime Alvarado, originally of Mexico City, will face off again as they head into their third and final battle for the IN.B.A State Light Welterweight Title, a match-up generating a huge local buzz.

Tickets for the “Civic Center Rumble” are on sale now, starting at just $25. Doors open at 7 p.m. Sharp and first bell will ring at 8 p.m. Tickets are available at the Hammond Civic Center Box Office 219-853-6378 or through any Ticket Master outlet 312-559-1212 or www.ticketmaster.com .

“Our fighters have been generating the kind of excitement that can fill two ballrooms with fans and media, and having the Horseshoe Hammond team behind us takes our work to another level,” said CEO Octavius James.

“I want to especially thank Mayor McDermott for hosting us once again in the City of Hammond. James said.

Rick Mazer, Senior Vice-President and General Manager of Horseshoe Casino-Hammond, called his company’s involvement another example of strong corporate citizenship in the Midwest.

“Being a great community partner is something Horseshoe Casino-Hammond takes great pride in, and, the partnership One In A Million Inc. has established with our host city, the City of Hammond, is one that we're proud to be associated with, as well,” Mazer said. “Horseshoe is proud to support one of its own, Ruben Galvan, as part of the “Civic Center Rumble”. Ruben has nine knockouts under his belt, and the Horseshoe team will be present during his bout to cheer him on as always. We wish Ruben the best of luck.”

Also on hand for the press conference will be Hammond’s own Special Attraction Light Welterweight Johnny "Kid One In A Million" Novak (18-1, 6KO’s). Along with Chicago Middleweight “Marvelous” Shay Mobley (14-7, 6KO’s) and Middleweight Derrick “Superman” Findley (5-1 4KO’s) who will round out the “Rumble” card.
