Three Border City Boxers Remain
(AUG 4) Three fighters representing the
Border City Boxing
club moved into the semi-finals with wins on the second day of
competition at the Ringside World Championships in Kansas City Missouri
on Thursday. "Gorgeous" Andre Gorges defeated Texas' Jose Juan
Fuentes, Eyobe "Sharpshooter" Amberber defeated Mexico's Emilio Garza,
and "Bustin" Dustin Heggie defeated New Jersey's Emmanuel Chase.
Eliminated from the competition were "Jackknife" Josh Cameron and Kevin
"Bam Bam" Guenette who lost to the U.S.'s Raymond Leyba and Chad Peeler

Three of four members of the Border City Boxing Club
won on Wednesday at the 2006 Ringside World
Championships in Kansas City, Missouri. "Gorgeous"
Andre Gorges won a unanimous decision over former
Alberta Champion Luke Hall, "Jackknife" Josh Cameron
defeated Kansas City's Hubert Acevedo, also by
unanimous decision and "Bustin'" Dustin Heggie stopped
Gerald Friscia of New York. Also representing Border
City was Geoff "King" Lalovich, who dropped a
unanimous decision to Lansing's Eric Sizemore. |
