YOUNG GUNS AND A FORMER WORLD CHAMP HIGHLIGHT JULY 28 CARD

HOLLYWOOD, FL, July 21 – A host of up and coming prospects and a former world junior welterweight champion will heat up the Seminole Hard Rock Live Arena in Hollywood, Florida on Friday, July 28, as they compete on the undercard of the highly anticipated IBF heavyweight championship elimination bout between Sultan Ibragimov and Ray Austin.

In the co-main event, unbeaten middleweight bomber Samuel Miller faces off against tough Canadian Jason Naugler in an eight rounder. Also featured will be former world junior welterweight champion Randall Bailey, who will look to move back up the ranks when he battles veteran Russell Jones.

Ibragimov-Austin, part of a hard-hitting night of boxing presented by Warriors Boxing Promotions, Golden Grain Promotions and Sampson Lewkowicz in association with the Seminole Tribe of Florida, will be televised live on ESPN2’s Friday Night Fights beginning at 9pm ET / 6pm PT.

14-0 with 12 KOs, Samuel Miller is the latest sensation to emerge from Colombia, following in the footsteps of world junior welterweight champion Juan Urango and top middleweight contender Edison Miranda. A heavy handed boxer with an exciting style, the 26-year-old from Arboletes is coming off an eight round decision win over Martin Desjardins in May. His opponent, Halifax’ Jason Naugler (15-5-1, 10 KOs), has won two in a row, including a sixth round knockout of Rodrigues Moungo in his last bout in June.

Randall Bailey (32-5, 29 KOs) is one of the hardest punchers in the sport today, with 29 KOs in 32 wins to prove it. The former WBO junior welterweight champion – who successfully defended his belt twice – has won his last four bouts, with his last two victories coming by first round knockout. His opponent on July 28, Ghana’s Russell Stoner Jones (19-13, 14 KOs) has faced the best in the world during his 12 year career, including Joel Casamayor, Tracy Harris Patterson, and Julio Diaz.

Also in action will be 4-0 Richard Abril (who faces a to be determined foe in a 4 round junior welterweight bout), Miami middleweight Felix Cepeda (7-1, 4 KOs), who takes on Brooklyn’s Jameson Bostic (6-3, 4 KOs) in a six rounder, and 1-0 Eliezer Cepeda, who will battle Robert Irizarry (2-2) in a four round junior middleweight contest.

Rounding out the card is a heavyweight bout between James White (2-3-1, 2 KOs) and debuting Eric Swigler, and a featherweight matchup between Eylon Kedem (1-0-1) and Angel Luis Torres (0-1-1).

Tickets for this hard-hitting event, priced at $25, $50, $100, and $150, are available by calling 954.523.3309 or by visiting www.ticketmaster.com.
