  Upcoming Boxing event in Chicago

(JULY 7) Dominic Pesoli, President of 8 Count Productions, HOME OF THE BEST IN CHICAGO BOXING, has announced today that Chicago heavyweight KO artist, Carl “Iron Fist” Davis will be featured on the ARAGON SHOWDOWN card on  July 21st in a six round battle against Cerrone Fox of Benton Harbor, MI.

The ARAGON SHOWDOWN is another monthly installment of the finest in Chicago boxing presented by 8 Count Productions, Miller Lite and TCF bank.

The fully air conditioned Aragon Ballroom is located at 1106 W. Lawrence Avenue on the north side of Chicago. Doors for this event will open at 7pm, with the first bell scheduled for 8pm. Tickets starting at $25 are available in advance by calling 312-226-5800.

The monstrous Davis, 8-2 (7KO’s), who has thrilled Chicagoland crowds since turning pro in April 2003 with his knockout power returns to Aragon Ballroom after his first round destruction of Joe Johnson last July.

The equally heavy handed Fox, 8-4 (8KO’s) is coming off a first round knockout over highly regarded prospect John Poore on June 16, 2006 in Philidelphia, PA.

“This is the first bout we’re ready to announce, but I know our matchmaker Jerry Alfano is preparing more terrific matchups like this one. Our fans want us to bring them solid, highly competitive bouts and that continues to be our focus.”

Said Pesoli about the bout, “These are two very exciting heavyweights who have major knockout power and bad intentions from the opening bell. This is the type of fight not to miss because given both of their resumes someone is going to get knocked out.”

“Carl has been off for a year due to some minor injuries but he’s in great shape and to his credit he’s taking on a very tough guy in Fox. Cerrone just knocked out Poore in Philly so I’m sure he’s not concerned with the huge crowd that will be present to support Carl,” stated Pesoli.
