(MAY 23) MERRILLVILLE, IN.- The Midwest's premiere boxing team and one of the nations top gaming and entertainment companies take the next step towards one of the regions hottest ever pro boxing events as Resorts Casino and Hotel-East Chicago host Octavius James/One In A Million Inc. for the official weigh-ins for “Championship Boxing” on Thursday. May 25th at 6:30 p.m. in the casino's pavilion.

The first bell opening a night of Las Vegas-style boxing and gaming action will be Friday, May 26th at 8 p.m. at the casino, with doors opening at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now starting at $25. Tickets are available at Resorts Casino East Chicago Gift Shop. Tickets will also be available at the door the night of this event.

One In A Million has hosted a series of sold-out shows for the Midwest's most loyal fight fans and fighters, but teaming up with Resorts gives everyone a more complete entertainment experience, said Octavius James, CEO of One In A Million Inc.

“There's no doubt we have put on some of the most action-packed shows in our area, and that's why we believe we're putting on the best in boxing around,” James said. “With Resorts hosting this show, we can give sports fans an experience much like they would get in Las Vegas or Atlantic City.”

“Championship Boxing” will feature in the Main Event with IN.B.A. State Lightweight Champion Johnny “Kid One In A Million” Novak (16-1, 6 KO's) defending his title in his first ever 10-round bout, and in the CO-Main event Chicago's Middleweight sensation Michael “The Midnight Stalker” Walker (10-1, 8 KO's) will continue his tear through the pro ranks on his way to the top of the middleweight division.

LaPorte’s Light Heavyweight Nick Cook (14-1, 8 KO's) will battle to build on his near perfect record, while the hugely popular and undefeated “Merciless” Mary McGee (6-0, 4 KO's) will step up in her first women's welterweight six-round fight. Also, Gary's own powerful middleweight Derrick “Superman” Findley (3-1, 3 KO's) will return to Indiana to showcase his talent on this card.
