Official Weigh-in for One In A Million Inc. Card
(MAY 23) MERRILLVILLE, IN.- The Midwest's premiere boxing team and one
of the nations top gaming and entertainment companies take the next step
towards one of the regions hottest ever pro boxing events as Resorts
Casino and Hotel-East Chicago host Octavius James/One In A Million Inc.
for the official weigh-ins for “Championship Boxing” on Thursday. May
25th at 6:30 p.m. in the casino's pavilion.
The first bell opening a night of Las Vegas-style boxing and gaming
action will be Friday, May 26th at 8 p.m. at the casino, with doors
opening at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now starting at $25. Tickets are
available at Resorts Casino East Chicago Gift Shop. Tickets will also be
available at the door the night of this event.
One In A Million has hosted a series of sold-out shows for the Midwest's
most loyal fight fans and fighters, but teaming up with Resorts gives
everyone a more complete entertainment experience, said Octavius James,
CEO of One In A Million Inc.
“There's no doubt we have put on some of the most action-packed shows in
our area, and that's why we believe we're putting on the best in boxing
around,” James said. “With Resorts hosting this show, we can give sports
fans an experience much like they would get in Las Vegas or Atlantic
City.”
“Championship Boxing” will feature in the Main Event with IN.B.A. State
Lightweight Champion Johnny “Kid One In A Million” Novak (16-1, 6 KO's)
defending his title in his first ever 10-round bout, and in the CO-Main
event Chicago's Middleweight sensation Michael “The Midnight Stalker”
Walker (10-1, 8 KO's) will continue his tear through the pro ranks on
his way to the top of the middleweight division.
LaPorte’s Light Heavyweight Nick Cook (14-1, 8 KO's) will battle to
build on his near perfect record, while the hugely popular and
undefeated “Merciless” Mary McGee (6-0, 4 KO's) will step up in her
first women's welterweight six-round fight. Also, Gary's own powerful
middleweight Derrick “Superman” Findley (3-1, 3 KO's) will return to
Indiana to showcase his talent on this card.
