FORMER K-1 STANDOUT “MIGHTY MO” TO MAKE BOXING DEBUT ON MAY 18TH

HOLLYWOOD, FL, April 28 – As the highly anticipated, historical boxing event – “Tribal Pride” fast approaches, Warriors Boxing Promotions and Sycuan Ringside Promotions are packing the card with the type of action-packed bouts both companies have built their reputations on.

‘Tribal Pride’, which is headlined by the Interim IBF Lightweight Championship bout between Ricky Quiles (39-6-3, 8 KOs) and Julio Diaz (32-3, 24 KOs), will air live on pay-per-view from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Fla., beginning at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT.

The latest addition on tap for ‘Tribal Pride’ will be a special Heavyweight attraction featuring former K-1 kickboxing superstar Siala "Mighty Mo" Siliga, who will be making his professional boxing debut in a 6 rounder against Lamar Stephens with a record of 6-2-1. Mighty Mo is entering the boxing world in an untraditional fashion as he steps into the ring to face an opponent who has 9 professional fights under his belt.

“Boxers don’t do this sort of thing,” said Leon Margules, Executive Director of Warriors Boxing Promotions. “Pro debuts are usual 4 round fights where the participants are 1-0 or 1-1, but this is unheard of. Fight fans are definitely in for treat as Mighty Mo has tremendous punching power and is extremely agile for a Heavyweight. We are looking forward to an exciting fight.”

Siala “Mighty Mo” Siliga has been one of the K-1 organization’s premier kickboxers for a number of years, known for his knockout power and exciting style while competing against the best the sport has to offer. Siliga retired from kickboxing after a knockout win over former World Boxing Champion Francois Botha. The rugged Californian has decided to inject some life into boxing’s Heavyweight Division, and once you see the 6-1, 275 pound “Mighty Mo” in action, you won’t soon forget him!

Tickets for Tribal Pride are priced at $25, $50, $100, and $150. They are available at The Hard Rock Live Box Office at The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino or by visiting www.ticketmaster.com. Doors open at 6:30PM, the first bell rings at 7:30PM. The event will be televised live on Pay-Per-View starting at 9 p.m. EST / 6 p.m. PT (contact your local cable provider for more information).
