Puts Corrales and Castillo on the Canvas! One More Time unveiled to
celebrate the upcoming rematch
Las Vegas (Sept 15, 2005) -
Multi-award winning artist Richard T. Slone has unveiled his
latest painting. Slone rendered the Diego Corrales vs. Jose Luis
Castillo painting to celebrate their upcoming rematch, which
will take place on Saturday, October 8th, at the Thomas and Mack
Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“After seeing Corrales and Castillo fight their first battle
earlier this year - which was one of the greatest fights I’ve
ever seen - I was instantly inspired by these two warriors” said
Slone, “When the rematch was announced I began painting. Both
Boxers fight with such passion and determination, that’s what I
want to bring out in through my painting.”
The 24 x 36 inch “One More Time” acrylic and enamel painting
captures two men at their professional and personal best,
Slone’s placement of color and shapes make a loud statement.
Richard T. Slone has been hailed as the next great artist. His
work is widely collected by art collectors and high-society.
Owners of his originals include Donald Trump, Nelson Mandela,
Hugh Hefner and Muhammad Ali. He is the official artist of the
International Boxing Hall of Fame and at only 31 years of age is
one of the most accomplished emerging artist’s in the world.
Slone recently inked a deal with the The Ultimate Fighting
Championship® brand and became their officially licensed artist.
