Heavyweight Contender Returns For his Second Fight in Month
(MAY 6) HOLLYWOOD, FL, – Living up to his vow to keep active in
his quest to win the world heavyweight championship, Elieser Castillo
(27-5-2, 15 KOs) returns to the ring on Friday, May 13 (just 21 days
after his last bout) to face always tough southpaw Alex Gonzalez (18-3,
8 KOs) at the A La Carte Event Pavilion in Tampa, Florida.
“Elieser is determined to get a heavyweight title shot, and he is
proving his dedication by staying in the gym and keeping busy in the
ring,” said Warriors Boxing Promotions Executive Director, Jessie
Robinson. “This is the type of attitude you want to see from all
fighters, and believe me, Elieser Castillo is going to make a lot of
noise in the division this year.”
In Castillo’s last bout, on April 22, the native of Havana scored a
devastating first round TKO over veteran Otis Tisdale.
Castillo-Gonzalez headlines an exciting night of fight action presented
by Starfight Promotions. The first bell rings at 8pm.
