Perez will see action for the first time since his unsuccessful bid to become a champion in three different weight classes when he lost against Panamanian fighter Ricardo Cordoba in an attempt to gain the interim WBA super bantamweight title. It exclaimed “Professional Boxing is dying a natural death.” It was from the LA Times, but what was so intriguing is that this particular article was written on October 5th, 1913. This exclamation has been echoed in every decade, in every major city for the past hundred years.
