Andrade Scores First Round Knockout on ESPN January 17, 2010

Going into Friday's matchup against Bernardo Guereca on ESPN's "Friday Night Fights", Demetrius Andrade promised to put on a spectacular performance, and that's exactly what he did. Andrade, who improved his record to 9-0, 7KO landed a picture perfect counter right hook midway through the very first round that sent Guereca to the canvas hard. Guereca was very hurt and remained on the canvas until the referee reached the count of ten. Official time of the stoppage was 1 minute 18 seconds of round number one. Taylor announces he will take some time off from the sport January 17, 2010

(JAN 17) LITTLE ROCK,- Jermain Taylor (28-4-1, 17KO's) former undisputed middleweight champion has made a decision regarding his future boxing career. Taylor, who was a participant in SHOWTIME Sports World Boxing Classic last fought on October 17th in a losing battle against Arthur Abraham in Berlin, Germany.  "I'm going to take some time off from the sport of boxing and take myself out of SHOWTIME Sports World Boxing Classic tournament.
