There was a scoring error in last Saturday night's WBA light heavyweight title fight between defending champion Gabrial Campillo and challenger Beibut Shumenov in Astana, Kazakhstan. An error on the master scoresheet was discovered Sunday. Judge Glenn Feldman scored round four for Shumenov, 10-9, but it had been accidentally written in as 10-9 for Campillo. Feldman’s final tally was revised from 114-112 for Campillo to 113-113. The cards for judges John Coyle (114-113) and Pasquale Procopio (115-111), both in favor of Campillo, remained the same. The mistake was discovered on Sunday.

(AUG 18) The WBO #8 and WBA #15 ranked heavyweight Brian “The Beast” Minto (34-2, 21 KOs) won a four round technical decision over previously unbeaten Donnell "The Real Touch of Sleep" Holmes (31-1-2, 27 KOs) in a bout for the vacant WBO NABO Heavyweight Title on Friday night at Pullman Park in Butler, Pennsylvania. Before several thousand fans, Minto dominated Holmes throughout the bout landing cleaner punches and displaying a much greater work rate over the previously undefeated Holmes. However, Minto suffered a cut caused by an accidental headbutt above his eye early in round four . The bout was stopped by the ringside physician after the round, and after going to the scorecards, Minto was comfortably ahead by scores of 40-36, 40-36 and 39-37.
